About Dr. Kim
Dr. Kim is the chief of neurosurgery at Group Health. Since his arrival here in 2005 he has tirelessly created the best outcomes, and inspired that level of performance in others. "Our neurosurgery service can handle just about every brain and spinal disorder," says Service Line Chief Kyle Kim, MD. "Every year, we take care of hundreds of major cases, and fewer than 1 percent needs to be referred out to another hospital. That's a sign of how much capability we have here."

 

An expert in cerebrovascular and skull-base surgery, Dr. Kim is a graduate of the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, where he received both an MD and a PhD in Immunology. He completed a neurosurgery residency and fellowship at the University of Washington. He spent years in private practice before coming to Group Health.
